if i watch freeview why do i have to buy tv licence it ment to be free

The freeview is free you dont pay a monthly subscription for it?brbrThe TV license is for your TV. This pays for no adverts so its only the BBC channels that are affected by a TV license and you can just pick a few channels unfortunately.
